This was the first ever exhibition of architectural renderings by Maurice A. German. It was a “treasure of draughtsmanship.” The works, which include renderings of Michelangelo’s marble sculptures and studies of Victoria’s Legislative Buildings, were done with Chinese ink and water
About the Artist: Maurice A. German was born in 1905 in Gosport, England and passedin 1995. He was a perfectionist draughtsman and did not consider himself an artist. German drew copies of 19th century French architecture with particular attention to the laws of perspective.
