Jeanne Megan Settle

May – June 16, 1984

McPherson Library Gallery

An exhibition of Settle’s works inspired by the derelict town Sandon, B.C. Her pieces embody a strong, mood-drenched collection of skeletal structures and crumbling ruins. This exhibition also includes items from early Sandon newspapers.

[Settle’s paintings] make fascinating contrasts with sepia photographs of the town as it was in its heyday… Settle has seen with the perceptive eyes of an artist, much beyond simple decaying wood and the empty sockets of windows.
