October 1 – October 19, 1979
McPherson Library Gallery
This exhibition features serigraphs and drawings from Margaret Berry.
I see a strong influence from my reading of Virginia Woolf–a concern with making my work androgynous, or combining the intuitive and the rational… Another literary influence of a more obvious and superficial nature is that of my use of the Shakespearean and Petrarcan sonnet forms to make prints and drawings about art and particularly printmaking. It becomes clear to me that most of the works are concerns with the limitations and possibilities of my media.
