Memories: Boundaries

September 16 – October 7, 1991

McPherson Library Gallery

This exhibition features photographs by Jennifer Modigliani which reflect a period of reflection on lost life and the resulting attraction to infrared film.

Our understanding of life is guided by complex and powerful symbolic systems and we live a lifetime often unaware of their pervasive nature. Out use and identification of metaphor is virtually unconscious. For the photographer, a moment of recognition occurs and the finger trips the shutter.
