McPherson Library Gallery

This exhibition features photographs taken during the late nineteenth century. Architecture, art styles, tools, clothing and virtually every aspect of First Nations culture of the West Coast over the past century is documented. This exhibition draws from the collection of the Archaeological Survey of Canada and the National Museum of Man. The photographs document aspects of Haida, Tsimshian, Kwakiutl, Bella Coola, Salish and Nootka cultures.
