Sidewalks of Victoria: Urban Realism of Tad Suzuki

This exhibition features a series of paintings depicting a variety of street scenes, including shop windows and other urban objects, in photo-realistic style.

The theme of the exhibition was developed over tow years and focussed on Sidewalks of Victoria. Titles included Earls, Victoria; Chinatown Grocery; and Soho Village Bistro.

About the Artist:

Tad Suzuki is a self-taught painter and at the time of the exhibition was a sessional librarian with UVIc. Suzuki was born in Tokyo, Japan and came to Canada in the 1980s.
