This was an exhibition of John Di Castri’s architectural works. Di Castri contributed designs to the Uplands neighbourhood, Dunsmuir House at Ten Mile Point, Colwood, and  the McCall Bros Funeral Directors Ltd. Building in Victoria.

The show was formed in conjunction with the Canadian Art Deco Society, which was formed in 1984 to foster an increased awareness and appreciation of the Art Deco style.

This exhibition features photographs taken during the late nineteenth century. Architecture, art styles, tools, clothing and virtually every aspect of First Nations culture of the West Coast over the past century is documented. This exhibition draws from the collection of the Archaeological Survey of Canada and the National Museum of Man. The photographs document aspects of Haida, Tsimshian, Kwakiutl, Bella Coola, Salish and Nootka cultures.
