February 6 – March 26, 1995
Maltwood Art Museum and Gallery
The exhibition is designed to showcase as many diverse sculptural works as possible, while allowing the viewing public to consider the role and context of public art. Three dimensional sculptural work is presented through two-dimensional visual aids that encourage the viewer to imagine these sculptures in their proposed locations.
Most of the locations feature easily recognizable sites in the Victoria area such as Dallas Road and the entrance to Capital Iron. Visitors not only can enjoy these works as gallery pieces, but also will see the results of the proposal process and the material costs involved in creating works for public enjoyment outside gallery walls.
