Brian Gison’s paintings are water based media on paper and are a continuation of a rationalized exploration of the conceptual and semantic possibilities inherent within different media.

The parameter of this investigation can be defined as a series of oppositions; those between tonal and chromatic images, and between figure and ground are primary focus.
