This exhibition featured drawings created by Yumie Kono. Her drawings use repeating cross lines with hard pencils, which yields very soft and subtle drawings.

My drawings create dream-like landscapes using repeating cross lines with hard pencils (H-10H). This slow process results in a very subtle and soft drawing… My paintings focus on the subtleness of colour balance with a layering technique of oil paint on linen canvas… I am searching for “Genfukei”- That is: an ocurence when our inner landscape and your outer landscape are recognized as one and the same.
