Peter Daglish’s international level of interaction with the Fluxus movement, pop, and performance art was gained from formal training in Montreal, New York and London. His experience with up-and-coming artistic methods was the greatest asset he brought to his appointment as Assistant Professor to the University of Victoria’s newly formed Faculty of Fine Arts in 1969, where he taught drawing and printmaking until 1971. Daglish became a major influence and long-time mentor to former student Eric Metcalfe, and they both shared a passion for jazz music.
