The pattern of Migration is traced from an angiogram of the artist’s father’s heart. The branching lines here, too, are reminiscent of pathways over land. The fall of hooves, the cycles of migration, are like heart beats. Despite being almost invisible, the perforations in this suspended sheet of plexiglass catch and reflect light while also casting overlapping shadows. They suggest a transcendent familial presence that, while rooted in the body, extends through time and beyond what is physical.
